Newly appointed managers face one immediate and major challenge - to become as effective as possible as quickly as possible. The quicker a manager can be "up to speed" the better. It is also important for a new manager to know what behavioural criteria will be used to assess performance. New Manager Review provides a clear and detailed map of:

  • The New Manager's required behaviour
  • The New Manager's actual behaviour
  • The key behaviour changes needed to perform to expected standards
  • The set of specific important behaviours necessary to do the job most effectively

It is recommended that this process be used for all new managers within 60 days of their appointment.

How:

One or two close associates (colleagues and / or boss) to the job in question complete a Momentum CPI Job Questionnaire (Momentum CPI -JQ) to determine the behaviours they consider critical to this specific job
The new manager completes a Momentum CPI Questionnaire (MCPIQ)

Results:

a clear description of the specific behaviours required to be most effective in a specific job - clearly explained and easy to understand and observe
a comparison of these behaviours to the jobholder's current behaviours, highlighting behavioural 'gaps'
clarification of organisational expectations and benchmarked behavioural assessment criteria
a behavioural blueprint for the most effective way of managing a specific job
